Just before Christmas, a fallen tree along the Chester Creek Trail was found to contain a large bee hive. Thanks to the quick action of a trail user and the generosity of a local beekeeper, nearly 20,000 bees were safely removed and relocated to a new home.
The Delaware County Planning Department is exploring the possibility of extending the Chester Creek Trail through Toby Farms in Chester Township and Upland Borough.
