We’re excited to share that the Knowlton Road Trailhead on the Chester Creek Trail has officially been upgraded with a newly expanded parking lot and improved infrastructure, making it easier than ever to enjoy the trail.
The project more than doubles the available parking capacity, helping meet the growing popularity of the Chester Creek Trail while improving access for residents and visitors alike.

Delaware County Planning Departmnent, Public Works, and Parks & Recreation invite the community to celebrate this exciting milestone alongside members of County Council, project staff, and the engineering and construction teams.
This important improvement was made possible through funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Local Share Account Grant. We also extend our sincere thanks to State Representative Leanne Krueger and State Senator John Kane for their leadership in securing funding for this project.
